The UpTown Sydney district, located directly behind Circular Quay, is a vibrant gateway to Sydney. Once overlooked as being a tourist trap or corporate centre, the district is experiencing an ongoing $38-billion renewal. Now, the district is full of diverse architecture and pedestrian laneways that showcase a rich array of new and classic experiences in hospitality, arts, luxury accommodation, entertainment and culture.

THE NEW YOU’VE ALWAYS KNOWN

Established in 2022, the UpTown Sydney district receives support from the NSW Government, its members, and partners, operating as a not-for-profit association. Our goal is to revitalise Sydney around the clock, collaborating creatively with our businesses and partners to promote growth and development within the community and to attract both locals and newcomers to this area of the city once again. With access to some of Sydney’s most beloved vendors, bartenders, curators, and taste-makers all within walking distance across several blocks, UpTown is the premier destination for going out in Sydney.
